3.4 2nd gen Supercharger - noise?

Is this sound normal

I just changed the oil in the process I broke the seal on the plate holding the rotors. I took them out resealed both that and the nose cone. Replaced the rotor and fresh oil.
I never noticed any noise before, everything feels tight and smooth. It only has 30K on it. I am thinking I just never noticed it until I worked on it.
One other thing the TRD oil change kit came with 4ounces of oil but most folks talk about 6 ounces.

well considering I have a 3400 v6 2nd gen super charger (216k engine 30k SC'er) I wish I could help you a little more, but I'm on a laptop and the sound doesn't come through that great. It doesn't sound abnormal to me, though the sound variance really comes in during high RPM's

yup, mine has the supercharger whine under boost, but that seems normal and mine has always had that.

 

sounds like it needs bearings replaced.

 

Sounds normal to me. All roots style blowers will rattle a bit at idle.

 

Thanks MadToy that's pretty much what I had concluded since it is fairly low mileage at ~30k and I have seen folks on here with over a 100k without a rebuild yet

 

How much oil came out when you drained it? (4 or 6 oz.) What did the rotors look like?

 

a little over 3 1/2oz and the rotors looked good. I just cleaned the dirt off and reinstalled them
