I've had my 2002 Tacoma PreRunner (2wd auto) since May 2010 and she needs new shoes bad. Basically looking for a larger profile tire than what's currently on there. Do you guys know what is the largest wheel or best recommended tire for the factory / default 2002 Tacoma PreRunner wheel?

Thanks for any help and or suggestions. Mainly doing street driving (brick and paved) in FL so it rains a lot and it's hot. No mud / hills / dirt / etc etc etc

Put them on my 4runner, was so happy with them, input them on the tacoma.

Ride great on the pavement and highway, will get life out of them, perform very well in the dirt and will not break the bank. I got mine at Americas tire.
This tire does not have that sexy offroad look, kinda like the old Good year GSA was before they killed that tire, but performance in the desert is great.
Last year i preran the Baja 1000 from the Bay of L.A to San Ignacio with these tires, and they performed flawlessly and made it back home without any chunks out of them, i was impressed.

Thanks. I will check into that. I generally avoid anything "made in the USA" but thanks for the info!

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
265/75/16 still might rub the frame at full lock.

mine did, but not a big deal at all.

I'd recommend the Treadwright retreads. Great tires, great customer service, american company (if that matters to you) and really good price.

I'l second the TW tires. Been on a set of 265/75/16 Wardens on BFG casings since January (15k miles) and they've been awesome on road and off. great tread remaining, no issues at all.. and a GREAT PRICE!!
