So I brought my truck in to the dealership today to have my driver side mirror replaced and to check the wheel balancing. I should point out that I purchased my brand new 2013 Taco DC Trail Teams on the 24th of August and have about 1600 kilometers on her.

Well right from the start I new this was going to be a negative experience. The service manager tried to explain to me that the vibration I may have noticed in the steering wheel and in my butt could be caused by the lift kit installed on the truck. My response was first a physical one of multiple blinks and coughs. Then a verbal reply of "ummm what lift kit? The truck is brand new, purchased here about two weeks ago, and there have been zero modifications made since the purchase!"

The service manager blinked, swallowed and replied, "oh sorry, I was thinking of someone elses truck." Oh my....here we go.

So I left the truck there all day, went back at 430 and was told that the mechanic is just out on a test drive to ensure the balancing is good. "No problem" I replied and took a seat in the waiting area. About 15 minutes later the service manager presented me with my keys and said all done, all fixed.

I went outside, mirror was fixed and the wheels and tires were clearly re balanced. I was happy! Then I opened the door.....

Now I did expect that I would have to vacuum the mats or wipe some greasy handprints off the door and well they didnt let me down. But I figured I expected it so get home and give her the TLC shes been getting since I brought her home.

I arrived home and upon closer inspection my blood pressure rose dramatically and I had the sudden urge to seperate someone from the organs used to poo. (Tear someones ass out with my bare hands).

The paint on the door sill was horribly scratched and the plastic trim beside it had two boot prints on it and again was scratched all to shit. Just so happens the dirty boot print is the same one all over the floor mat and carpet above it. It appeared as if someone was standing on the door sill to look on the roof and began to dance the twist!

So I'm heading back to the dealership first thing tomorrow morning, calm and collected with the hope that the service manger is going to make it right. Man I hope they make it right.....

    I agree ^^^^

However it does suck. This title is misleading, I was hoping for some a little more graphic.

On a side note I always give my truck the walk around before leaving the dealer. And make any issues I've got aware then and there. They may say they didn't do it 24 hours later.

Man that sucks. I hope they make it right for you.

When my 97 Chevy Z71 was brand new, I had it in for some minor tweak, I don't even remember what. When I got it back, the first thing I noticed is that the wash job I just spent the prior evening doing, was all toasted due to someone there driving through a puddle. Oh well, water spots wash off, ... right? Well, when I went to wash it again, I noticed that most of it washed off, but for some reason, some speckles were staying there. It turns out the guy must have passed by the body shop area, and it seems they had washed down a bunch of paint, that was now in the water puddle he drive through. Some sort of baby blue looking crap. I took it to them, and told them to clay it, because it wouldn't wipe off, but shouldn't be permanent due to the wax etc. They made some half assed attempt and called me back later on. It was still there.. and it looked like they had just let it sit there the whole time. So, I told the service manager he could go f*** himself, and took it home and picked each and every speckle off with a damp rag draped over my fingernail. By that point I decided if I was going to get it done right, I was going to have to do it myself.

Give 'em hell, and don't settle for less than you showed up with.

Ok ok I was being a little over dramatic in my title. Lol. But I was pretty pissed when I noticed the damage.
