I have 17's and if I could or would do it again...I would go for 18's with 33's. The 17's with the 33" tires are just a little to small for me. But it also depends what you are doing with the truck...I rarely go offroad

Let's not forget the width on these wheels. The width will play a role in the look as well. If you go 16" you can usually get 7" or 8" width. 17's are mostly 9" but some can be found that are 8". Once you go up to 18" your up to a 9" wheel for sure which in my opinion are too wide with the backspacing we need to clear a 285 tires. Also, I think an 8" wheel gives you more options on tire width as well. It's tough to find a 265 tire that fits safely on a 9" wide wheel. Even if it does fit, I don't think it looks right. Not enough tire bulge. But that's just my opinion. I voted 17's

What do you have your bilstein's set at (2.5?). I have the stock TRD Sport upgrade 18" (not crazy about them but they came with truck). I want to fit on the same size tire you have (275/65/18 in Duratracs) and want to know if they will fit on the stock TRD with needing a lift, etc. I can't find what the backspacing is on the "upgrade" 18", I assuming it's similar to the stock 17" TRD wheel.

I want to fit 275/65/18 Duratracs but need to know if 1) it's possible or 2) if it's not possible on stock TRD then what do I need to do to put them on? (ex. install Bilsteins at 1.75"? 2.5"? or buy a new wheel with a lower backspacing such as 4.5,

Do you think you could provide any help with this? Thanks

This is a question I've been burning on. It just seems that there are so many more options available on a 17 over a 16..... I understand the advantages of a 16 off road, but I also don't want a tire as aggressive at a Duratrac.... They are awesome, but won't really be the best choice because 6 out of 7 days I'm guaranteed to be on pavement.... I'm thinking 17's so i can re-sale them if I decide to trade the truck.... always put the 16s back on... I won't be lifting.....

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
I was running the same size duratrac with my 5100's set to 2.5 and they rubbed alittle even with trimming. Did not have to chop the cab mount though. If by some chance you anywhere near southern California I'm selling mine. Going down to a 16 inch wheel now that it's not a daily driver.

Edit: I also have my 5100's with the springs still if interested.
