2nd gen. bed vs. 1st gen. bed

    How does the 2nd gen. standard bed compare (in size) to the 1st gen. bed.?

    OME 883 front, OMD 3.5" rear, Relentless front bumper, smittybilt 9.5K winch
    same length (both 5ft short bed, 6 ft long bed) different width (i'm gonna guess 4-5'' difference) and the 2nd gen bed's are plastic, 1st are metal.

    I just discovered (on wikipedia) that the 1st gen. bed was 5 inches longer, 60 inches for 2nd gen and 65 inches for 1st. gen. The 2nd gen. is obviously wider.
