Hey guys, I have been looking for a way to determine the value of the truck I have been looking at. I looked at kbb and edmunds but it's hard to figure out the value of customizations.

Not much in the way of customization on there except the 5100's... What does blue book show?

 

Sick truck, but 45k miles in less than a year?? I wouldn't add much value to the mods unless stock wheels, tires, exhaust, and shifter are also included.

I wouldn't give him a dime more than $25k with that kind of mileage.

 

That helps a lot thanks. Top blue book is about $26k which sounds a lot more reasonable than what this guy is asking i just didn't want to low ball him without a moreeducated opinion. It seems hard to find the 6 speed manual.

 

The quoted early avg that insurance goes off is somewhere around 14,000 miles per year. So that alone brings the value way down.

 

Im curious why he is selling the truck already? put money into a lift, tires, and etc. and as stated drive 45,000 in a year. He is asking retail value for a truck with no miles on it. Owner also should realize mods dont bring up the value of your truck to dealer pricing if he tryies to trade it in price will go down because of mods.

 

Thanks for the advice. I am going to go take alook at it later tonight. I haven't driven a standard tacoma yet so at least i'll know if i like it. He said he commutes a lot and the truck is not ideal for that but 45k is still extreme.
