I'm getting closer to my first tacoma. I've found a 2012 Double-Cab 4x4 TRD Off-road with 17,500 miles. It's a certified pre-owned and still has about a year left on the original factory warranty. The price is $28,800 after negotiation. It seems like a decent deal when looking at book values. Anyone have any thoughts or recent experiences that may offer a little guidance? Thanks in advance.

I paid 28877 for trd OR access cab with manual trans. 10 miles.

There's no benefit to buying used if you're only saving $500-2K

Thanks guys for the insight. I purchased the truck. I was able to get another $500 off the price. I considered buying new, but I'm already at the top end of my payments. So, even a $3000 jump to new would be more than I can spend. Thanks again. I will be back with more questions on lifting, wheels and tires.
