Radio not working

I have a 2008 Tacoma Access that had a dead battery. When it was jumped, they crossed the cables. Everything in the truck is working fine but the radio, which has no power. I checked the fuses (ACC, Radio1 and Radio2) all appear good. Is there something else I need to check?

 

Are the dome lights working? If not, open the big fuse box under the hood, and there should be a short tap. It looks sort of like a fuse (mini size), but should say "ST" on it. See if you have voltage going across that.

If the domes are working, did you check all the underhood fuses and the interior fuses? I don't recall where Radio 1/2 and ACC are, but I seem to recall them being in the interior fuse box on my '12.


Test them with a continuity tester or pull each one and visually inspect. It's possible you fried the radio, too (not likely, but possible).

 

Thanks for the reply. The ACC is behind the coin holder on the dash and the other two are under the hood. All the other items to include the dome light are working.

 

im having a problem with my radio too i disconnected it today to take it out to check on a rattling noise i have right in the middle of the dash and when i went to put it back (the radio)rreconect all the plugs and found out tha the radio ,the cig lighter port and the ac ports as well as the clock dont work now. what did i do wrong?
