Pink fan shaft.

Could it be V6's have pink and 4cyl don't?

 

they are all pink on the inside.. WELL THEY SHOULD BE, IF NOT YOUR DOING IT WRONG.

It's just so that you can show your wife or girlfriend that your macho and sensitive at the same time.

 

Double checked mine - still pink. Also found what appears to be a pink fingerprint on my right hand motor mount. Must have been a 2 man job.



They tell me this is cookie monster - looks suspiciously like something else

 

I thought the pink "shaft" was meant to complement the other hardware that I had installed...hehehe

Mine's pink, and when I first noticed it, I did think it a bit metro.

 

No biggie. Gives you a chance to invite chicks to your garage to check out your pink shaft.

That will be the first thing to fly apart on my Taco. It's been said that the fan part is assembled in France.

It's pink just because. Actually I am pretty sure (not 100%, can't find it) that there was a TSB at one point with the tow package fan colour etc. Pretty sure it has to do with the temperatures that the fan cuts in and out at. The new 1GR-FE (in 2010+ 4runner and FJ Cruiser) have a green one.

 

I've got the same truck...2006 TRD Sport 4X4, W/tow package... My shaft is PINK... Maybe your shaft is just dirty... when did you last clean it..??

Mine has the wire harness bundled and tied to the frame. It has a Reese class III hitch and aftermarket adapt patched into the tail lights, plus a wire to the battery. It is ready to be made factory and has the fuse slots with harness connectors. So, I believe the pink means it has a hitch or is ready for a factory kit.

 

I had an 03 4r with the 1gr and it had pink as well. Nothing to do with vehicle. 1gr related. Not sure if has any other meaning. Sometimes manufacturers do this to make identifying an oem part easy vs having to locate another indicator to confirm it is an oem part.

 

mine also pink, bought the truck used, 2010 taco auto4.0, 4x4 sr5 shortbed double cab in grey metalic.
its a non OR version of a taco.
