Hello from Michigan. Been lurking for a little while and thought I'd post. Just picked up a used 2009 base double cable 4x4 a few weeks ago. The photo is how the truck came from the dealer. Previous owner put the 265/75/R16 Goodyear Kevlar MTR's on the trunk and painted the stock rims black. I have since taken the roof rack off due the amount of damage the roof rack feet & clips did to the roof. Cost me $850 to have the dents pulled and the roof and door frames re-painted.

Right now I am serious looking at putting an OME lift on the truck. I am not planning on running the spacers up front, however with the double cab I am planning on going with the 885 springs. The only question I have currently is do I go AAL or dakar leaf pack in the rear? I am thinking about putting a hard topper on the back at some point if that helps. An suggestion or words of wisdom would are welcome.

A lot of crap and too much money spent
Welcome to TW! From what I have been reading most people put dakar on if they are planning on have a shell or other weight in the back.

Do not go AAL you will regret it! If you are putting a camper on the back I would go with an expedition leaf pack, Dakar makes very good leaf packs. I replaced my leaf packs by myself, super easy. Ok that's a lie, not super easy but very doable... Welcome and good luck!
Oh by the way your truck looks good, $850 well spent!
