I have a 2010 tacoma that I put a lot of highway miles on every year. I want to put a lift and more aggressive tires for a better look. what would be my best option?

285 BFG ATs, Custom dual exhaust system, 4" total lift (adjustable billies with 885 coils in front and AALs with 1" block in rear), interior LED lighting, LED reverse lights, LED license plate lights, fog light anytime mod, JVC KW-R500 stereo, 20" okledlightbars.com LED light bar, coverking seat covers
x2 with BFG ATs. Get billies 5100s up front and AAL. If you won't be seriously going offroad, I would just level it.

I think like a 3 inch lift. I want the biggest tires that will not rub also. I plan on getting new wheels also.

BFG's wear well for strict highway use and look good. lots of lift options! Give yourself some time on this site before you make up your mind. Lots of info and it takes a while to go through. Good luck and welcome to TW!!

5100's up front and either the Wheeler's or Icon 3-leaf progressive AAL for the rear. For tires, I'd check out the Michelin AT2 or Perelli Scorpion for a highway truck. If you want something that looks more aggressive, check out the Hankook Dynapro or Toyo Open Country A/T. I would not run BFG's on a pavement pounder, they can get noisy with age and usually have a higher load range that you'd need just for highway runs.

x2 this is what i did except i got the 884 OME coils too for the full 3" lift and my truck is pretty smooth because the 884 coils are the lighter ones and its alot less bouncy then stock. im pretty sure you can run like 33's but im running 31's (265/75/16) on my truck. i would call wheelersoffroad or toytec because they can get you in the right direction. i heard wheelers has excellent customer service and i went with toytec who also has excellent customer service and answered all my questions for me and helped me pick a lift that was good for me

884's are the 'lighter' coils compared to what? Generally, for a V6 couble cab, 884's won't get you 3" of lift, you'd want 885's for that.

Yeah.. I'd probably get 885s. I have 885s and my billies on the highest setting and I have 3" of lift in the front and 4" in the back. I might lower it to 2 in the front and 3 in the back. I have 1" blocks on the back with my aal so I could just remove the blocks. Only because I like the stuffed tires look.

A lot of highway miles, are you concerned with MPG? If so I'd skip the lift altogether.

Not really concerned about mpg. I only get about 18 on the highway anyway. What type of mpg will I get wwith the lift and bigger tires.

Depends on what you put on for a lift and tires. I have a 2" lift all around and still running H/T tires and I can still push 20 MPG. I was still in the 18 - 19 MPG range with the lift and P265/70R17 Cooper AT3 tires. Heavier tires can compromise MPGs as can wider tires.

2" lift with 265/70R17 tires. That pic was from last year, I've since gone back to stock 265/65R17 H/T tires but kept the lift. I'm running Eibach coils on 5100's set at 0 up front and the Icon 3-leaf AAL with the overload leaf left in place mated with TSB springs for the rear.

Another options for a 2" lift would be the Ironman kit.

I don't offroad but I do have billies 5100's in all four corners with BFG AT tires at factory level. You can't go wrong with the BFG AT tires For highway driving, I highly recommend. Good luck and welcome to Tacoma world.

I put 265/70/16 Bridgestone AT Duellers on my truck and they do really well on the highway. We get a ton of rain down here and they go right through it with no issues. If you want a more aggressive look I'd say get bigger tires in the 285/75 range. Before adding my 3" body lift and tires I got around 20mpg hwy. I'm down to around 16-17 now even with careful driving. This is my daily driver (35 miles on way to the office) and I do some light off road driving. Good luck in your search and use the heck out of the forum here. Its been very helpful for me over the last year.
