    Well, Not so sure there is a huge improvement in mileage but i can confirm to you that YES the viscosity is better and the engine components move more freely...

    synthetic is a must up here during a typical -45 winter morning trying to start your truck. There is a huge difference between the two as i don't even need to put the heather block on the engine to warm it up first when using synthetic.

    OP is on Ohio, and doesn't see -45 F or C. Maybe -10 F so he doesn't need a block heather either.
