Figure I should say hello. Rusty here, out in the sticks of Parker County. Finally broke down and let the old truck go, best machine with a muffler I've ever owned. 1992 Toyota 4x4 extended cab purchased new 11/5/1991. Neve a single serious issue with that ride. Still sported original brakes, clutch, radiator, etc. Lots of memories, but at least I know it went to a good home. And damn, those years have a helluva cult following. 188k miles, paid $14.5k new and got $6k for it. Not to shabby.

Picked up a silver 2013 Tacoma double cab Texas Edition (had to have the wheels, can do without badges). It's pretty much loaded, haven't cracked the owners manual yet so there are some little lights and whistles I haven't played with yet.

Have to be honest. Almost went with one of the Ford's this time, they've really come a long way. But their all too big for the parking spaces in my parking garage at work and it would be shot to hell with door dings in no time.

I'm not really expecting the Tacoma to be as reliable/durable as that old truck, even all the Toyota wrenches/service advisors agreed they just don't make 'em like that anymore, but it should serve me well.

Hope to maybe see some of you around from time to time. Later, Rusty

Welcome to TW from the hill country! I'm sure you'll be happy with the new truck. They're not quite as heavy duty as the older models, but definitely still reliable, more comfortable trucks to drive.

Removed the mud flaps. Put in a new AFE air filter.
Welcome. My mom lives just North of Weatherford off highway 51. I am out there often. Keep your eye out for a new gray Texas Edition. That would be me!
