Im Paul from Toronto, Canada. Used to own a 98 Tacoma. Put 380k on it in 4 years. Stepped up to full size trucks for the past 10 years and have always missed the tacoma. If it wasn't for the towing I used to do and more heavy duty work I would have kept original Taco. Back into a 98 Taco, almost the same truck except its the TRD badly faded black paint, but no rust as this is a original British Columbia truck. They don't use salt on there roads in the winter. Fantastic cant wait to start using it and possibly changing the appearance a little.
What are the best lift kits, & appearance upgrades to be done for a nice beefier look.
    Cheers
    Paul

    welcome to TW

can u narrow down the choices a little?

whats ur suspension budget, how high do u want to go, what do you need out of the suspension? Weekend warrior, occasional offroad, daily offroad, high speed, washboards......?

I'd like to stuff 35's under this truck if possible, it currently has new 31x10.5 BFG all terrains.
Not really sure on a budget for suspension yet, It is all stock and needs paint badly. Its going to be a daily driver, work, play truck, nothing serious off road, but definatley will be going off road. I'll definately do the air intake, (which is best for this truck?) and new spark plugs. Exhaust would be next, would like to try magnaflow this time around.

I'm coming from owning 06 dodge power wagon I bought new, had factory 12000lb Warn winch, disconnecting sway bar, lockers both front and back. It was a great truck with tons of power, I did the usual k&N cold air system, High flow cat, cat back Gibson exhaust, Flashpac superchips tuner. I estimate it was approx. 400Hp, downsized business so no longer need that monster.

    Cheers
    Paul

I used to go 4 wheelin a ton. How do you like those BFg Mud Terrain? I had them on my last truck and they wore really fast, but that truck was heavy as hell and I did a ton of driving and towing.

Where do you go off roading?
    Cheers
    Paul

The tires are pretty loud on speed above 60KM/Hr but they're great in mud and snow. There is a trail up in bass lake bobcaygeon this is probably the closest ones some in blue mountains but that's pretty far and yourself?

Hey sorry for the delayed post.
I go up near Port Perry area nothing crazy but you can get stuck easy enough.
we have a good trail system in ganaraska also.
I have a buddy that lives in horseshoe valley and have been a few times with him, it gets really hairy there.

I'm looking for some cheap suspension nothing major, 3" leveling kit with the 31's would make me happy.

I'm on th look out for a used rear bumper or new, and new front struts.
