1991 4x4 v6 auto too slow

    How do I make it a little faster? Just paid 3k for it. Put a rebuilt transmission 1200 dollars. Are theses trucks reliable and this slow always? Please help. :(

    Its not a race truck if you want speed get a full size truck with a big v8. The Toyota is like a turtle it is slow and steady and has out lived the other compact trucks its age

    Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
    As long as the headgaskets are good on that 3.0, it'll last for a long time. The 3.0 is nicknamed the 3.slow for a reason. It's not a very powerful motor, but if you get the HG issue licked, it will go for as long as a good 22RE 4 cylinder.

    You could always try having it regeared - that would help a bit. Moreso if it has large aftermarket tires.
