    Hello Everyone,

I've got a 4cyl 2.7L 2001 that has 4.88s and 33s 12.50s. I need to tires and moved to Maryland where my current tires may fail inspection.

I wanted feedback from people if running 32 10.50s with the 4.88s will still keep the RPMs in a normal daily driver range. I'm currently at 2750 RMP at 65 mph.

    Thanks,
    Gary

Good luck finding a mud grip in a 32x10.50R15 ( if that's your rim size ) . To my knowledge the only company who makes one is Super Swamper .

Failing inspection with 33s? I can check that state off my list then :D

Hope you figure out your answer. Maybe re-gearing would fix your inspection issue? It would cost the same, if not a bit cheaper for as opposed to a new set of rubbers

If you want 4.10s id do a straight diff swap with you.

    4.88s and 32s will put you dang near 3k at 65..about 2900ish.

also only not many tires in 32x10.5r15. Only 32x11.5r15..and i think only BFG makes that size.

lots at 31x10.5 but that would be horrible on the high way with 4.88s. well over 3k rpm.

Let me know if you want to swap diffs.

Is it a width issue? Why not run 33x10.50's?

I bet it is a width issue. Lots of states don't allow wheels out side the fenders.

33x10.5s is a great alternative too. No gearing needed.

First, that was I typo. I mean to type 32 11.50 15 to try out.

Second, yeah, I asked around and depending on the inspector the 33 12.50 15 might be too wide. So going to a 10.50 would in theory solve the problem.

I'm going to hit up the Maryland forum next to see if they can recommend a "off-road" friendly inspector.

    Thanks for the help!

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
The state "safety" inspection that MD does is garbage, but also a huge PITA. I got luck on my 06 when I moved there to find somebody friendly to my truck...

High clearance rear bumpers and plate front bumpers will typically fail during this safety inspection...
