Sorry if this has been covered before but I searched and could not come up with much. I have an 08 TRD off road and I really don't like the tail lights, especially how the lower lens is pink instead of clear.
So I started searching and found a lot of options, however 99.8% of them look ricey and cheap to me. Then I stumbled across these, same style as stock but with LED's and clear bottom lens (also available with smoked lower lens)

But the problem is I have not been able to find many reviews or photos of how they look installed. Does anybody have these or lights similar that may be willing to share photos and experience? They are made by a company named Spyder, which seems to be somewhat popular but also may be an Ebay brand style company, anyone have any insight?

I installed some spyder black LED tail lights on my 06 and they are awesome. I'll take a pic for you on my lunch break and share it. Look at www.carid.com

The regular bulbs that went back in i'm replacing with LED as well

Edit: look in my gallery, I also did matching spyder black CCFL halo projectors in the front and couldn't be happier

I have the none CCFL and love them as well. They look super sick and I disconnected the little mini LEDs and installed a strip in mine. Check out my bill to see them.

Get them, in my opinion they are the best aftermarket tail lights for Tacomas

I bought a pair for my 96 last year and love them, they look clean and put out a bunch of light.

Nope they work flawlessly, the thing i dis-liked about the headlights was that they send you this supposed "plug n play" and it's not even close. I had to go to the local auto parts store to get quick connecters and shit.. i also was just holding the light up while my buddy was hooking up the one wire and the wire pulled right out of their crimp. I took all the wires like that out and did my own new crimps to make sure everything was solid.

The tail lights were actually plug n play, headlights is false advertising lol

Just a tip to make sure everything stays nice, heat shrink all connections after you have sealed them up with liquid electrical tape

I sprayed my lights with night shades red came out darker then I expected , ( keep in mind when you spray it dries darker then the initial appearance)

I'm in the same boat as the OP. My current tail lights are all incandescent. Is there an issue switching to these with the turn signals? Because if there's not I'm ready to order this weekend. The stock taillights are...lacking in coolness. No other way to put it.

Not at all, the brake light just connects directly to a harness on the tail light that lights up the LED's. It's literally plug n play, took me about 5 minutes

You still use your turn signal bulb the same as your old lights, might need to steal the housing gromet off the old ones, i don't remember

I gotcha. Thank you! Can't wait to get rid of the pink, it just don't look right on a man's truck.
