Do i need a washer/seal for when I replace my rear diff fluid. Like the rubber gasket that is replaced everytime that the oil is changed. I have the 3 quarts of mobile1 but I cannot find the answer to my previous question. I have read the tutorials and none say anything about a washer,so I guess no washer?

From what I've gathered, some elect to reuse the washer and some elect to change it with the oil. Since it's not done as frequent as a regular oil change, I can see where some say it is probably good to do. But if the old one still keeps it sealed, that's fine too. User preference I suspect. the washers are not much, but I guess it depends on how easy it is to get them where each person is.

I opened another window and checked this thread, it has part numbers on post 7 for the crush washers. Also mentions some reuse some get new. Depends on what you're comfortable with.

PS. I think the number of times I've had that plug in and out exceeds the number I can count to on both hands, and I still haven't changed the crush washer.

Thank ya'll... I was going to reuse it, but since it is not changed as much, I will just go ahead and replace it.
