On my 2005 Tacoma TRD Prerunner, i have a key fob with a lock/unlock, and panic button. I'm guessing it's connected to an alarm, but not sure since i didn't buy new.

When i turn off the truck and close the door, the truck locks the doors automatically. It also has a warning if the hood or tailgate is closed hard and when slammed, it will set off an alarm.

I'd like to still utilize the lock/unlock feature, but do not want an alarm if doors closed or tailgate closed forcefully.

    Any suggestions?

Is it the factory key fob or an aftermarket one? It does have some sort of aftermarket alarm in it though.

Def sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm in there.

Find where the aftermarket alarm is mounted and just see if you can disconnect it and see if that does anything.

If you can find the alarm module, you can disconnect the shock sensor and still use the alarm for keyless entry. Most installers tuck the module under the drivers side dash area by the steering column.
