Finally getting around to doing a writeup for this. Some of you may know I was planning on potentially putting a blue light behind it as well (and was planning on doing that first before the writeup) but I've been too busy to do that. So I'll just stick with the emblem for now.

Started off with getting a new grille from Rockauto.com

And got my GrillCraft "satoshi" in black (also available in silver). I ordered it through Autoanything.com because it was a little bit cheaper (and I googled a discount code).

I ordered the Prius badge through the dealer. They do come in different sizes. I -think- mine is about a medium version. I know for sure there is one about 2 times the size of this one but I can't recall if there is a smaller one. What I did was take my original badge from my grille and walk around the lot holding it up to the different Prius' to check the sizes. They vary in size between model types as well. I believe I got mine from a Prius C. They are available on hybrid Highlanders too. Here is the part info.

The back of the emblem came with some adhesive on it, but luckily it peels off pretty easily.

If you don't want to do the satoshi grille, it does look like it's possible to put the new emblem on the existing grille. There are no screw holes and it doesn't fit in quite perfectly, but with some modification I'm sure someone could make it work.

    Taped off for cutting.

Major cutting done, now for making it a bit more flush. I decided to leave the bottom for a bit more support.

The good thing about this grille is that it's flush with the outside, this gives you more room for stuff behind it and you don't have to worry about having to fill the gaps on the "lip" part of the grille.

I don't have any photos of the next step but I got the GrillCraft installed onto the factory grille with some screws.

Next I mounted up the emblem (pretty hard to get straight since the pegs on the back aren't symmetrical). Got some small washers and some small nuts. They are small enough that I twisted them on and they created their own threads. I didn't quite trust that alone to hold it on so I ran some clear adhesive around the edge of the badge and put a dab on the nuts for some extra security. The adhesive is not in this pic.

And that's it! Congratulations! Your truck is now part Prius! :D Final product compared to factory.

Before my new headlights (ignore my gross old ones haha)

My plan eventually is to make it light up. I'd like to not be able to see the grille lines through it, but at the same time I don't really want to cut up my new grille. But we'll see someday. ;)

Looks good. I bought an old Land Cruiser emblem from my Grillcraft, but the studs are too thick to make it through the mesh. Time to get creative.
