Is it worth the 100$ to have the shocks/coils pre assembled with the ome kit or can you do it with the hydraulic lift method when installing?

Depends on your experience? I personally wouldn't really feel comfortable $100 isn't that much when it comes to how much we spend on our trucks!

I have never have trouble assembling struts when using the right tool. Have never felt unsafe like other people claim, even using the autozone rental tool. Just have to have patience when tighting the bolts of the spring compressor. I figured those who claim to have had accidents are the ones that get impatience and start to tighten each side on longer increments which causes the "slinky effect" on the spring and injuring the operator.

I just got and installed mine on Tuesday. I had Toytec pre assemble mine. They label the coils drivers/passenger side making it super easy. I found the extra $100 well worth it.

Here is how she turned out with OME 885 coils for 2.5" of lift.

One thing to remember also is they will be providing the top hats, and coil isolators and bushings. Plus, when you remove your original ones,it is easy to re-install the complete assembly if you sell/trade in your current truck. It would also be easier to sell your original set up if you wanted to go that route.

This. Don't forget you're getting more parts, it's not just assembly. It also saves you a lot of time when it comes to install too. No need to take your current set-up somewhere once you get them out to have them taken apart and the new one's assembled. Totally worth the $100.

I had mine assembled by wheelers, I didn't want to deal with it.

I think it is well worth the $100.00 . Toytec didn't offer it when I bought my lift and I was luck to have a friend with a good spring compressor in his shop. But I had to disassemble the stock shocks the reassemble the new shock with the stock top plate and the time it took me to drive across town to his house. But you figure what a new top plate cost and what a shop would charge you to assemble them, a $100.00 to save you time and aggravation it's a no brainer.

Just plan ole 265/75/R16 on painted black stock steelies. I think the knobs of the wrangler MTR's make them look bigger than they really are. Thanks for the complement.
