    Guys, sorry to post but after searching and finding here and on the streets that 265/65/17 is a common size for our trucks, I bought new rims/tires today that size. Well, when I make sharp turns going slow, I hear a serious rub in the front end. I can't see where it is occurring yet after sticking my cranium underneath and peering! I was expecting to do a 3" lift (still want factory rake but higher), but not so soon!! BTW my setup is an 08 Tacoma access cab SR5 4-lugger...Should I do the TSB in the rear and add different springs or new coilivers in the front?

    What is the backspacing on the rim you bought??

    It's a 17 inch rim that is 7 inches wide with a 42mm offset with means about a 5.6inch back space with is too big for our trucks...IIRC and did my math right....

    I have to go back tomorrow as they didn't have time to align it today....I would have thought they would have known this seemingly obvious info being a rim place....what offset/backspacing do I need?

    Step bars, billet grill with custom TOYOTA, MB Quart RSI 216 components, Hifonics ZXi 4410, RAAMmat deadened doors/back wall/roof covered with ensolite , 24" Magnaflow muffler, hand polished stock exhaust tip, tinted, OEM TRD Bilstiens all around with 1/4" spacers up front to level it out. Sport wheels added.
    4.5" backspacing if I have read correctly.

    Yeah....4.5 inches of backspace with 0-12 offset....Much else will give you issues I think.

    I knew I could count on you guys/ this forum for answers.....now my TPMS lite just came on!!!! they did transfer the sensors over....I am livid-:mad::mad::mad: P.S. cred given on the respect scale thingy..

    Did you get a spare tire replaced too- Cause the spare has a sensor and won't do two different pressures (as I understand it). So if the original spare is in there- then that pressure and the new tires is probably off.

    That's my guess...
