Some might have seen my post. I was trying to figure out a way to lower the back end to make it easy loading bikes and stuff. But most importantly to make it easy for my dogs to jump in. I research it all. From 4 link to air bags. Even dump truck style bed conversions. Today leaving the beach it hit me. Boy do I feel dumb. So with the tail gate down its 34" high. Remove the cables and its 30" with the tail gate badges sitting on the bumper. So now ill just order two own cable bolts. Install them below the factory spot. When I need the gate lower o just move the cables to the lower bokts Lol
Sometimes it pays to stop and think simple haha

^^^^^Yep yep yep......if there is enough weight on the tailgate while it is on the bumper, it could dent in.

Why not just buy a minivan if you can't load stuff into your truck

Hummmm read my post instead of just looking at the pic.

And... My truck bed sees DAILY action. Dirtbikes, concrete, blah blah blah
AND I said its mostly for my dobermans. They are getting older and I wanta make it easier for them. When it's gets to the point where I have to pick then up I will do so.

You probably get a longer cable and hAve it to were it it has an inch gap so it's not resting on the bumper

install a second set of cable bolts below the original cable bolts. 2 settings.

OMG you might dent your tailgate!
