Undercoating for the tacoma

i just wanted to share my experience, as my truck is in the same boat as anyone in the north east. a little background, i bought my truck used 4 years ago from a dealer near Mentor Ohio, and apparently they use massive amounts of road chemicals in the winter. the underside of my truck looked like it was in the ocean. i wire wheeled everything the best i could and coated it with chassis saver. still got some rust through so i prepped and applied again. again, this past year got some rust through so i prepped and used some eastwood products. as a final measure, this weekend i applied fluid film to the entire underside.

i should have found this product earlier, i think this stuff is really going to do the trick. i can't wait to see how it holds up after this winter. i used the aerosol application, i got a real thick coating on everything, did the hinges, door jambs, the spare tire cable, the rear diff and front diff, and i used 2 and a half cans. i highly recommend this stuff, it goes a long way and provides excellent coverage. it does stink, and when using the aerosol be prepared for some overspray as i found out when i put my wipers on . didnt expect it do be that much, but oh well.

like i said, i really wish i would have found out about this product about 2 years ago, i would have stopped messing around with all of the other stuff i tried and just used this.
