    I finally FOUND it.. Yes!

After taking apart the center console storage bin and checking under it I was baffled, and finally decided to stop being lazy and actually figure this darn thing out. After pounding around on the floor I finally managed to figure it out.

On a DoubleCab like mine I have storage bins (and jack) under my rear seats, which I've already removed to try and solve this issue, with no luck. Turns out some old metal tool somehow got loose UNDER the plastic which is under the seats, and was rattling around metal on metal. So when I'd turn it would wobble and make the noise. Driving me insane! Didn't find it before because was too far back.

I ended up taking the plastic out that's under the rear seats and in the corner was what appears to be an old wheel key, as it isn't the one to my rims. haha, what a damn mess. It was in a spot that's crazy and I'm not sure how it got there. Here's an image.

Bone stock. Well, I guess I did disable the seat belt chime, and I added a nice MOLLE panel to the back of the passenger seat

I come to you today, from nine and a half years in the future, to bring you a message.

I had lost hope and was starting to research replacing my center support bearing when, there it was:

Confirmation I was not alone in my madness, for there WERE others who suffered as I did.

But lo and behold, there was more than that, there was a hope, a light in the darkness, and that light was xguntherc, the one man with the sheer gumption to press ever onward in his quixotic quest to find WHERE THAT DAMN NOSE WAS COMING FROM. And, in so doing, he lead us all out of tribulation!

    ---------------------------

Anyhow, thanks for posting this, man. May not have seemed like much back then but it sure came in useful today!

Yeah, that's a zombie thread revival if I've ever seen one.
