    Guys,

As you can see from the pic, I tried to fasten the iPhone cable (which runs from back of OEM stereo to back of glove box and out) to the console but the double sided tape with cable clips don't stick.

Any suggestions on what to use?

    Thanks guys.

Run it between the carpet & the plastic bezel, drill a hole in the cubby if you plan on keeping it there and pull the cord through. You can tie wrap the cable in place.

Those are 3m/command hangers but they wouldn't stick so used double sided tape. :/

I assume that panel has been Armor-All'd, or other.
Why not route it under the dash and come out below the A/C controls.

If you want you can actually run the wire through the center shifter column and hide that plug inside the center console for a cleaner look.

Or go this route. Not mines, but an idea to throw out there.

I know it's not a suggestion of how to secure your cable but....

I drilled a small hole in the back of the little cubby between the steering wheel and the stereo/heating controls. With it coming through there, my phone has a dedicated place to sit that is easy to reach. And there's enough room behind the cubby that if I want, I can push the cable back through the hole so there's not a lot of the cable showing. I don't know if I'm exposing it well but I'll try and get a picture of it later today if you'd like.

A Pic would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds better then running the cable where I have it now.

    That's a good idea!

I have also considered running the wire to the left of the stereo and having it come out of that little cubby where I store my sunglasses/ garage door opener.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
If you don't want to drill holes, use hot glue. That stuff works well just about anywhere on my truck, except the engine compartment. If/when you want it gone, a hair dryer on 'high' will soften it enough to come right off.

Handy things you learn by having a wife that likes to do crafts n' shit.

Course, since stealing her gun and glue sticks, I'm not allowed near her supplies.

Do you know where you found this photo? I'm very interested in doing this and would like to see if there is a possible write up for it (mainly where he got that rubber grommet that he put around the drilled hole)

Oh man. If I was you or your passenger, that would irritate that crap out of me. If I were you. I'd take out the console and run it up into the stereo and drill a small hole where the the cord can come through in that cubby. I like the mod that some did with running it up through the center console.

I didn't do it this way, but I did end up running the plug to the center console. I use a rubber grommet that I got from RadioShack. They come in different sizes.

I think this was the original write up. But pics aren't popping up.

This one is where he drilled the hole on the bottom instead of on the side unlike the original.

    Your wish is my command!

I'm 100% happy with the route the cable takes. I'm not, however, 100% happy with how the guy installed it. He sawed through the back of the cubby down to where the hole is in order to put the grommet in. But I never see it so I guess I shouldn't be mad about it. I really like this spot because I can sort of hide the cable so its not dangle out when I'm not using it.

Here it is with the cable pushed back through the hole.

And here it is with the cable pulled out some.

    And here's a close up.

I would've been piss too. I would've just drilled a hole and use a rubber grommet on that hole.

Right?! That's exactly what I would have done. The only reason I didn't do it was because they were running a special for free installations. That's the high quality of free I guess.

Can you run it behind that plastic (center console thing) and then drill a hole the size Diam. of the cable so it come out in the back of that console where the storage space is before the cup holders?

That's a good place but the part that fits into the phone is wider than a small hole.

    Suggestions?
