Alright guys just curious what the pros think this 2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Off Road is worth? is 21,500 a fair price? KBB i believe is around 18K

I am looking to to buy this and want as I said some pro opinions. I am a toyota driver through and through and currently drive a highly modified FJ Cruiser, just looking to expand into 4 full doors and windows.

    Specs.

    2007 Tacoma
    Double Cab
    TRD Off Road
    Automatic
    4.0 V6
    105,000 miles
    Silver Streak Mica
    Asking price - $21,500

Mods that I know of and can see from the pics include, it is being sold by someone who doesn't really know what they are looking at.

Lift of some type, not sure size or manufacturer
LT 295-75-R16 tires and XD series rims
Bumper ( not sure manufacturer) with front lights
    8500 lb superwinch
skid plates under engine and small skid plate under transfer case
front seat covers Okele (none on rear)
fiberglass camper shell with roof rack bars
    tubular bed/ tail gate extender

Some rust underneath but not bad for an 07 in the mid west.

Not sure if I am missing something from the pics or something I don't know.
I am mainly concerned about the 105,000 miles, as I don't know the previous owner and can't get an idea of how it was driven and taken care of. not sure about spare tire details, how bad rust really is cause haven't sen pics yet, etc.

Please let me know your thoughts on this truck Eg. (price, condition, likes, dislikes, concerns, etc.) thanks guys.

Well, just as a comparison... I bought my 2007 in 2010 with 65k miles. It was already lifted and had a shell, wheels and tires. It did not have a front bumper or winch. I paid $19,700 before taxes. Looks like a nice truck but the price seems a little high. Check ebaymotors and autotrader.com as well as the 2nd Gen for sale forum. If you are patient you will find a good deal. Or, if he's willing to negotiate go for it. I love the white trucks and really wanted one just like that in white. But, the deal I found was for this blue so I'm learning to love it :) This truck appears to have a 1 inch body lift as well. I like small body lifts and plan to do the same but some people hate them.

Not sure of your location, but that affects price as well. I purchased mine in Denver, CO.

Aftermarket is not going to add 3k.

I think most people tend to list theirs right around kbb, from what I've seen on Craigslist at least

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
It depends a lot on where you live and how close the truck is to your ideal truck. The closer it is to ideal, the more the accy's are worth. In the midwest, nicely built trucks are not that common. I looked for a looong time before finding mine. Even in Denver it's rare to see a truck with a nice bumper, winch, and a lift. That truck looks clean and has some good accy's on it. The front bumper is an All-Pro. That and the winch would be appx $1500 new. XD's are $150 ea and the Nitto's are about the same. So appx $1200. Topper appx $2000 new, or take it off and sell it for $700. The seat covers are about $400 new. If you were going to put all that on a truck anyway, the price starts looking more reasonable. For the money put into it, the owner probably took decent care of it.

Concerns: Those tires are pretty tall and thick, and if the lift is 2.5"-3", they are either rubbing or the truck has had some trimming done to it. You need to see if it has been regeared. Also, lifted Tacoma's are prone to driveline vibrations. The trimming is a necessary evil but devalues the truck. Driveline vibes are solvable, but if this truck has them, you can use that as a pretty big negotiating lever. The type of lift either adds no value at all if it is spacers and blocks, or adds value if it is better quality. Big swing in value there.

I'm pretty sure the front bumper is an All-Pro.

Truck has a body lift in addition to the suspension lift.

Lift + winch = hard miles, if they were used, still feels a little high. I'm thinking 17ish. Just my 2 cents.

I think it may be a bit high. I bought my '08 dbcb trd O/R 4x2 last year completely stock with 42K miles for $20k out the door. Like others said, just because it has been modded doesn't mean you can tack on the price of each mod to the BB value. I understand wanting a little more for a vehicle depending on what has been done to it, but if you really want the most money out of it you're better off selling aftermarket parts separate and the truck as stock as you can get it.
