I have both. For me the KM2s come out on top. The obstacle that I have the most trouble with in all of my wheeling history is mud. I hate that Sh^$. I get stuck in it every time I go out. I found that my KM2s were superior to my Duratracs in mud. But the duratracs are a little better in snow, so if you want to drive through snow with your mud tires, duratracs would be best. I know they're considered an AT but whatever.

I bought a set of KM2s in January once and drove around all winter with them. They were OK and I didn't die. But the next winter after a little wear they were horrible, even at 80% tread and nowhere near the secondary compound. So I switched to dedicated snow tires. I have some duratracs that came on a truck I bought last fall. I drove all last winter on them and they were notably better than the KM2s even when they were brand new.

For serious snow use, I prefer to throw both sets in the loft and use dedicated winter tires.
