optimal tire & rim > ADVICE

Working on customizing a recently bought Tacoma as a dual purpose truck.

I use the truck for work in a mountain town at an elev. of ~9,000', and sometimes drive heavy loads up the the undeveloped 4lo routes. There's usually snow during winter.

Live in Tucson (elev. ~2k) where most routes I drive are 45+ or free ways to and in Phoenix.

Best rim and tire size for a truck what I do? I don't wanna drain your eyes with information so if i'm missing anything... truck specs below

98' 3400 v6 4x4 SR5 w/ ~5" lift (will eventually remove the 2" blocks under the leaf springs), t100 leaf springs, 2nd gen super charger

 

For that kind of rugged use off road, stick with the stock steel rims. They will bend instead of break when they impact a rock, and alloys are going to look like crap after that kind of use.

245/85 series tires are a popular choice for a lot of 2nd Gen owners. Tall and skinny works for snow.
