Ok so i have a pretty simple set up... Box isnt behind my seat yet still running my old box and setup.. Just to see how it sounded in the truck.. I have a Sony XM-2002GT ( 500x1RMS @4ohm..1200 Max) and a Pioneer Champion 12" to match... I am running a soundquest kit from radioshack.. I had a 60W fuse with 8G wire.. but got a good hit on Cruise (flordia/ga line w/nelly) and Poof!... whats the deal.. same size wire i had in the honda just a different brand kit.....

This... get a 80a fuse and you should be good. Also make sure you have good grounds. Also why did you go with the 8ga kit should have done the 4ga.

Use the chart below as good guide line to get started

Awesome chart, thank you.. I went and got some 4Gauge wire.. I went with the 8Gauge wire because i was getting antsy and wanting to hear the subs so i went to radioshack and got what they had.. I also went to an 80A Fuse and works great now
