    haha, I wanted to reeeeal bad. A few things kept that from happening, money (I wasn't making any until I moved out to WY), and my dad didn't want racing to get in the way of my education which it would have given where I was in school and how much time and effort racing takes... My dad only has the track evo, my uncle (dads sister's husband) has the sportsman series truck in the TORC series. He's not racing this year because it really is an enormous time/money suck and dedication, which are tough when you cant support your family doing it... was fun though watching and learning as he built his truck to run in the sportsman class :cool: the things those guys think of to get a leg up is just crazy haha.

    Yea I woulda got sucked into it haha totally would have tried to been a pro racer if I had had the opportunity. Seriously. I know every says that cause it seems just pure fun..but I mean it. I'd totally do that. But yes. Total time and money suck. It's a life style. Not a hobby.

    For sure, not a hobby unless you have money coming out of your ears... haha I'd love to be on a team either driving or just crew, but it's one of those know ppl things and I was not in the know even though my uncle was in it... Could have happend I guess but at the time I was focused more on school and getting a job haha. Alot of my fam is/was in motorsports actually, jens cousin Rob was crewcheif/engineer for an indy team 5+ years ago and in 2010/11 was on the alms lambo team. He's now in Germany working for BMW... So much traveling, get old for me I think.

    Yea tons of traveling. I wouldn't mind being crew either. Crunch time! Swapping a full motor in a night or something. Be so crazy.

    ITBs are mostly cool factor. Why they do the injection there in that vid..no idea.

    You can't really direct inject a rotory engine (the combustion chamber keeps moving on ya). Throttle body injection is the best way to go FI on those. Interestingly, there is two spark plugs per rotor that fire at different times, and two distributors. I used to have a sandrail that had a rotory in it. With 4.56 gears and 35's it would do 83mph in first gear with a porsche 5 speed transaxle in it. You could wind it up to 12,000 rpms no problem.

    83 in first gear!:eek: What the hell was the ratio of that gear?



    Actually seems crazy, but I figure it was around 3.2-3.25... haha Wild!




    I did the math (used the calculator) and I guess with 35's and my 4.88's I could do about 74 mph in 1st gear it I could hit 12K rpm. I can do 33 mph with 35's and 5500rpm.
