Finally have made some progress on my build so I decided to start a thread...

    Current:

    April 2013:

Purchased a 2013 Tacoma TRD Off Road, Silver Streak Mica, Access Cab.

The next day I blacked out the chrome Toyota emblem.

    September 2013:

I installed 884x coils, top plate spacers, 2" AAL and axle shims.

Replaced the stock tires with 265/75r16 Goodyear Duratracs
    [IMG]

Added Bilstein 5100 rear shocks, kept the stock fronts for now since I am planning on doing new coilovers...

Another picture of how it sits currently, still has a really clean look...

    Future Mod Ideas:

Sliders and Skid Plates...any suggestions on brand?
Icon, Fox, or King Front Coilovers...haven't decided yet.
Replace 2" AAL with progressive leaf pack, not sure what brand.
LED Light Bar for night trail runs.

My future mod ideas are listed at the bottom of the post...not sure what order I plan on doing them any.

Nice work. I have the same truck in Pyrite Mica. How is the ride with the 884's and your stock shocks? I just ordered some 883's and I'm going to use my stock shocks.

The ride is fine with the 884 and top plate spacers...I'm very happy with it for now until I get new coilovers. It is just a little stiffer than stock. The stock rears with 2" AAL were absolute garbage, but now that I have the 5100's it is pretty good.

Cool. What LED lightbar are you going to get? I was reading a thread about Blitzpro yesterday. I'm thinking about mounting one on an Avid light bar.

I have been looking at the ones from okledlightbars.com...not sure how I want to mount it yet though. Those avid bars look pretty good, or I'd like to get a plate bumper and mount to that. I like the big roof mount bars, but I'm thinking the glare from that is probably annoying.

There are so many ways to make this truck more awesome than it already is, its hard to decide what order to do them in! haha

I have been leaning toward the Avid. I was also thinking about the N-Fab. I just started a thread in the lighting forum to see if anyone has mounted one on the N-Fab. I haven't been able to find any pics of that setup yet. I have seen them mounted on the Avid bars and they are sweet.

Just looked at some pics of the N-Fab bar. I like the Avid one better but I'm not a huge fan of either. They don't have a very clean look. I really want to mount a light bar in the lower opening of the front bumper, but WY requires front license plates which cover up that area...

Do they just require it, or do they specifically state it has to be placed on the front bumper?

I'm not sure about the rules on placement. I thought about relocating it, but after looking at it I don't see a good spot to move it to that would look good...I thought about doing two smaller bars on each side of the license plate in lower cut out. Not sure, still coming up with ideas...

Double check that, for my bike they say the inspection has to be on the bike, but nowhere does it say it has to be visible so I have it on a metal plate and it can swing from under the plate and cops havn't told me anything yet. Im just a law abiding citizen, its the rules that are twisted.

I'll have to see if I can find out what the exact law is on the front license plate...maybe the DMV website will have it?

Pic from today showing the ground clearance with the lift and 265/75r16 Duratracs. I was parked next to a stock Tundra yesterday and was surprised to see the Tacoma sitting taller and more clearance, wish I would have taken a pic of that...
