4 times this month I have been crowded into the bike lane or have had to stomp the brakes to avoid another car wandering into my lane. No signal, no reaction to my horn, nada. I have the dual horn setup, which I think are appropriately loud. Anyway...you guys that have air horns (big rig type), where did you mount the compressor, how noisy is it, and how reliable has it been for you?

Welcome to New England... Horns aren't going to help, the problem is a mechanical failure on the other person's vehicle. The link between the gas pedal and the steering wheel is broken and causes the vehicle to behave erratically. Very common in these parts

For a louder horn that doesn't require a compressor, check out Hella Supertones or PIAA horns.

^ I have the Hellas in my Honda and like them alot...wanted something more butch for the Tacoma. Found a set from an old ElDorado on ebay, but out the 4 horns, 2 had bad diaphragms, sent'em back. Richard's plate bumper option is tempting
