    Hey folks, i have a 2002 dc that has just had a frame replacement and now i am thinking about replacing the front coils and shocks. The Toyota guys told me that they are fine but i cant imagine after 210,000 miles that the stock parts are much good. I am sitting about an inch higher in the rear than the front due to the new stock leafs and would like to even things out. I dont plan on doing any heavy off roading other than some logging roads for hunting and fishing and i tow about a 4000 lb trailer a few times a year. I was thinking about an aal in the rear to help the sag when towing and hauling a load, but i only want an inch and a half lift which would put me two and a half higher than the front. The old girl is my dd and sees mainly pavement but i get in the dirt whenever i can, so im not looking for a 3 inch lift but a little would set er off. I was looking at the eibachs but 3 inches of lift is too much and i dont plan on putting on heavy bumpers so i think maybe it will be overkill. So i guess my question is what coil/shock combo and aal do you think would serve me best and even up the truck keeping in mind that i dont mind spending some money but i dont want to break the bank for things i dont need. Thanks for you time.

    Grey wire mod, eibach, 5100's & 5125's, ome Dakar leafs, 1.25 rear shackle, Gibson exhaust, ram air intake, throttle body spacer, boot slide mod, poly bushing kit, extended brake lines.
    Just pick up some 5100's front amd rear with a aal and set the front 5100's on the middle notch. Give you a bit more hight in the front . You will end up with a stiffer ride.

    So would the 5100's work with my old coils? I figure they are shot cause the top four coils are touching each other. If i replace the coils what brand would be most functional and economical.

    Yes, 5100's will work with stock coils
    And you can get enough lift out of them (they're adjustable) to level the truck
    That would probably be your most economical bet;
    Unless your stock coils are shot

    In which case....

    If you want about 2" inches of lift in the front, go with OME 881's; which are slightly stouter than stock
    Edit: OME 880's have the same lbs. rating and provide about 1/2" less lift than the 881's, if 2" is too much
    Check this out: Plenty of people use the OME/5100 combo and love it

    I've never messed with suspension before; don't take me as an authority
    But, I've read enough to think that's right
    I'm certain multiple people will correct me if I'm wrong. haha!

    I run Toytec coils on Bilstien 5100s in the front ( more of a stiffer ride then running stock coils on 5100s) and 5125s and wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal in the back. I like the height I got the ride imo the ride is better then stock. It was the best alternative for me at the time for the money. Ill eventually replace them with coilovers and a entire leaf pack.

    I was considering ome 881's and adjustable 5100's but just looked at the toytec website and they recommend against this combo, is it dangerous or is the ride not as good as using ome shocks?
