I have a 2011 Tacoma Sport. The front end sits too low even with the Bilstein shocks about 2" lower from rear). I appreciate any advice in this matter. I bought the truck used and i tried installing the hell bent steel spacer and the upper A arms grabbed the coils causing it to bind. It turned out I had lifted struts so it didn't work. Can I install a 2.5" spacer on the 5100's? Is that safe? Any recommendations for a fix with what I have without jeopardizing the function ability of the front end?

    Thanks,

    James

1St.... What setting are the 5100s at?

    2nd, no...... Don't stack lifts

3.... Try proper coils like ome, or get some adjustable coilovers.

That's what i thought. They are set at the highest setting, I think? I had a shop do it by where i live, bunch of hillbillies. I plan on getting a real lift in the future but it will be a while.

    Thanks

Ya, I do. Pretty sure the're at the highest setting. On my avatar, It is sitting way up but the A-arm was resting on the coils. Was just looking for some advice. I don't know my way around this forum yet but it looks like their is a lot of peps that know their stuff. Thanks.

you CANNOT lift the truck higher than 2.5" without new upper arms. because of alignment issues

something sounds fishy with the arms touching the coil, do you have any pictures of that? not that im doubting you, but that it shouldn't be possible without something being f+++ed up. was the spacer a "top-plate" spacer? in that it was placed ABOVE the coil inside the coil bucket? or was it a regular coil spacer that just further compressed the coil?

Thanks for the info. Ya it is a 2,5" hell bet steel lift spacer. I do have a pic but not with me at work. I will post later today.

    Appreciate your advice.

I have the same shocks. Mines set on 1.75. the second notch down. if you dont have a lift on the rear you prob need to put them on the first notch.
