Oh sorry. You have to have the driver and passanger setbelt buckled at the very end. Try it again. Let me know if you need me to clarify anything.

Apparently I have lied to the members of TW. Seemed to work just fine the first time- 5 beeps then silence. Drove home and the infernal beeping has returned. Going for take two in a few.

Attempt # 2 failed. The passenger airbag off light came on as it did the first time, however shutting the truck down and restarting seemed to reset it.#3 however seems to be working. Passenger airbag off light remains on after multiple restarts. I'll find out for sure in the a.m. on the trip to work.

Did you by chance leave the passenger seat belt buckled? That seems to be the determining factor in my chime staying off. Passenger seat belt buckled=no chime, unbuckled the chime returns regardless of the driver seat belt being unbuckled.

unfortunately, it's already been confirmed this method does not work on '12+ models. Rad for you though!

I tried several different methods including the pressing the brakes and even tried the odo/trip, but nothing at all worked on my 2014 tacoma. Luckily my salesman knows I am in and out my truck going from job site to job site. They disabled the reminders for me through techstream. It took the guy all of about 10 minutes from the time he walked out with the laptop to the time he said ok thats it.

Just thought I would pass this along so if anyone finds this through google, and reads through the thread for information. Then waste their time trying methods that wont work like I did.

Would this be reset when the battery is unplugged for more than 15 minutes?

I don't think that it would work for your model year. The method works for some but others not.

Another neat thing for door locks.

I like to have all of more automatic locks open with one button touch of the remote.

With the truck running but not moving. Lock the doors and then push unlock twice. This is done with the button on the door, not the remote.

I am not sure if it would reset, and turn the chime back on or not. I would think it probably does though. Maybe someone that knows for sure will chime in.

*if you are referring to the battery being disconnected resets the chime back on*
