Hey guys I've been on the forum for a few days now and just finally went and picked up my Tacoma. So far I absolutely love it, I miss having a truck for many different reasons, I also have a Cadillac CTS-V coupe so I needed something that got a bit better gas mileage. I'm not quite sure how to tell what exactly type of Tacoma it is, sorry for my ignorance but I've read around and I think I understand the difference in the packages but I'm not 100% sure. The previous owner debadged it so I'm not sure if its a TRD or SR5 etc. I know the hood scoop is only on certain models so I could really use some help figuring out what exactly it is, Is there any way to look it up by the VIN?

It is a 2006 Double Cab 4x4 with the 4.0 Auto, it came with a 6 inch Pro Comp Lift, the Billstein Shocks, Flowmaster muffler, Alpine touch screen in dash unit, 17inch Tuff Wheels and brand new Sahara TRS 35's, a Westin Bull Bar and step rails which aren't installed at the moment, color matched fender flairs. It has 100k miles on it, clean history and I feel like I got it for a steal at 19k especially with all of the add ons. The only flaw in this truck is a tiny ding in the side which I can have pulled out and some stains on the matts and seats but thats nothing some Wet Okale seat covers can't fix!

I've gone through alot of the threads of the Gen 1 and 2's and you guys have some nice trucks and I'm looking forward to getting some great info and feedback from y'all. I appreciate it guys!
