So, this morning I got bored and removed the bottom plastic part of my front bumper. I bought a little light bar from a friend for $40, but I haven't mounted it on yet. I just temporarily stuck it up for the pic. What do ya think?

    Thanks

Haven't gotten that far yet haha

Yeah, I'm not too sure how I feel about it. I've been looking at tube bumpers, but can't afford one right now, so I've just had the itch to do something...

I like it, maybe paint the exposed metal underneath flat or semi gloss black to blend it in, so it doesn't look like something is missing. Too bad Toyota had to mount the darn blinkers on that piece of tupperware.

Agreed. I was thinking about painting it flat black.

At least with your '01 you could un screw the lower valance for removal, then decide if you like it or not, on my 2000 I had to cut off 14" of plastic just to get it close to looking like what you've got, but yeah , i like it , anything is better than all that useless plastic hanging down, If i were you, I'd do Blackdawg's front blinker relocation MOD, pretty easy & works great...:)

Looks good. I think you should paint everything behind the Lightbar so it blends in. Either way it's a nice change, atleast until you can get a tube or plate bumper.

This bumper was off an '02, matched up perfectly for a retrofit....

    Haha thanks!

agreed...waste of space. I'll check out the blinker relocation mod, as I'm running blinkerless right now lol

Thanks. I'm thinking about painting the skid plate and everything black or herculining it. And I can't wait to get a real bumper on there.

Well, the light bar didn't fit and isn't going to without some welding and cutting, so the plastic shit is going back on for now. Hopefully, I'll be getting the Relentless or All-Pro bumper around Christmas, so I can get rid of the plastic once and for all!
