CB radio complete kit?

    I know the 18 is attractive because of its single din size but I would not recommend it. It's quite possibly one of the worst radios out there. Personally I would buy a little Cobra 19 or one of the little Unidens over the 18. As far as The Firestik: 3 feet is not going to give much performance and Firestiks as a whole are crap in my opinion. For someone new to CBs I would suggest something like a Wilson little Wil. They are easy to set up and tune and will be far better that a Firestik. Remember you will still need to purchase or borrow an SWR meter to tune it. If you're looking for a complete setup I believe Right channel radios has them. Good luck!

    Thanks for the info. I just wanted the firestik because its ridged, I hate whipps.

    yep i agree the 18 is the worst that cobra made i wouldnt even try that one. stay with the small compact cbs for trail use dont call walcott cb thier horrible just order what you need off Amazon thats what i do all the time i have no problems reason is radioactiveradios and other shops are on blacklist i wouldnt recommend some of these guys
