97 2.7l and my power steering pump is bad. Call part store and they tell me they will have order it but there's 2 different pumps and they need to know what month it was made. Problem is the tag inside the door that tells me is MIA. Is there a way to find out it using the vin ?

i would just lie to him, and when the part is wrong take it back and simply say it doesnt fit and ask for the other one. or pull the part from your truck and see if it has a p# on it
