so I got a 2013 Tacoma double cab 4cly with less than 5k miles.

truck is garage kept all night. when I drive in the morning, the first 5mins of driving whenever I come to a full stop, it seems like the brakes are not hugging that rotors the way they need to. like its slipping a little bit. you feel the seat vibrate a little. I've read a few posts here and they think it might be a warped drum. And this braking is with me going through my speed trap friendly neighborhood at 30mph max. give it about 5min and everything is fine and dandy.

is this normal? does it take a few minutes for them to warm up and back to normal? its not a big issue more of annoyance than anything. I just hate to have to drop it off at the dealership, wait, etc etc.

    thanks guys!

The pads do shift by design, but I don't know if I've ever felt it like ur describing. Usually people hear a clunk going from 1 direction to the other.

I didn't own my truck new, but iirc ceramic pads need to warm up a bit before the bite gets better... I don't think it should be that extreme tho. I can compare, I have ebc non ceramic just because of the initial bite properties.

    Bump for a brake person.
