I have a set of retro-fit headlights and have had this problem for awhile. One of the headlights is brighter than the other. They are aimed correctly, but the driver side light is just brighter. Any ideas why this could be?

Because your Truck had to many beers, and the eye lid is half shut on that side... the Truck doesn't drive sideways does it? ;)
