Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
you are right, all tacoma's have been partialy boxed..

they just arent quite the same as yota pickups since they decided they would no longer build them in japan. The newest generation hilux is not built in japan anymore either, soo who knows..

on one hand Toyota has returned jobs that other companys shipped out since i was born, and pumped lots of money into american pockets building them here, along with the tundras but on the other hand.. we can not seem to compete with the quality that came off the island.

At least they aren't built in mexico!!

well my refference was american company's.. but i was not aware they made any in mexico last i heard they shut down a few places and tranfered them to Texas, well thats news to me.. my bubble is busted.. good job :)

also since you enlightend me i searched it, a tacoma world thread says vin's begining with 3 are made in mexico... i googled and binged it and as far as i can tell its true..

i checked mine and its a 5 lol.

i should dig around and see if my 2008 was a 3. that might explain all the BS problems it had that my other tacomas have not.. haha im jost poking fun

Back when I ordered my 2014 in July the dealer told me they increased the base price $300 and charged me for that. But on this press release they say its up only $100. I'm going to have to talk to them about that.

Ok hope I'm wrong. I thought it might be the 4runner as well but when I compared to this pic the front end didn't look exactly the same.

CRAP. I really hope they didn't discontinue the Baja package...I was planning to get one once I returned to the states! Hopefully they are just delayed a bit like they did for the '13s. I believe they started coming out early March.

They are both the new 2014 4Runner. The blue one with the chrome lip crap is some other package they have for it. The black and red 2014 4Runner pics showing off the new front end are the other front end.

Both of these are the 2014 models.

I think it is an awesome design myself. Not the limited or whatever chrome package front end, but the full on black one. Car aesthetics are all a matter of personal preference though. One thing I know for sure is the interior of the 5th gen 4Runners is awesome! Gauge faces not so much, but the rest of the interior is real cool! I wish the Tacoma had the dash material that the 4Runner has :(

My mom bought a new 2013 model and even though it is only 2WD I really enjoyed taking it for a drive. Awesome vehicle. Makes me miss my 3rd gen.

The front end reminds me of that awful mazda front end smile.

It is all a matter of warming up to it though. When I saw the first pics of the 2012 Tacoma front end I thought it looked like dick, but now it is my favorite Tacoma front end yet.

I think Toyota tried to restyle the 5th gen 4Runner to bring the 4Runner's front end back to the sleaker, tighter, more compact design it has always sported, as opposed to the 2010-2013 models hard boxy angles in front. But now we are left with a boxier vehicle with a rounded front end, which a lot of people are not going to like. It is the same as when Toyota restyled the Tacoma for 2012 with a boxier, hard angled front end on the rounder body style. The 2014 Tundra is the only one they seem to have done in proportion.
