In a few months I plan on buying an ArmorTech front bumper for my '08 Tacoma. I also plan on lifting my truck about 2in-2.5ins. My question is I'm planning on buying some adjustable 5100s and using my stock coils. I want to know if they can hold the weight of the bumper or if I should just buy some OME coils. I know the ATO bumper weighs about 100 pounds. I'm just double checking before I start to order stuff. All opinions appreciated:thumbsup:.

    No.

The stock coils can barely do their job when you preload them but adding weight and they'll be toast within a few months. Plus it'll probably ride pretty bad.

Get OME or Eibach coils. They have higher spring rates that will hold the weight.

Thanks for the input. So I'm thinking OME 884s should be my best bet. The Bilstein 5100s should work with them in the stock height setting. But I'll look into the OME shocks anyway.

I don't know how it is for you 2nd gens but my OME881/Bilstein5100 combo rode like a tank. hated it. it felt like it was worse than preloaded stock coils. I'd recommended keeping the brands together they a designed to work that way.

On my '96 I have OME 881 coils and OME shocks and it rode pretty good. I'm gonna go all OME on my '08. Gonna get some Dakars for the rear to:cool:.
