I've seen Youtube videos of it and it's suppose to be the same as putting down 3M protector on your vehicle. I've seen commercials on TV about it and got pretty excited. Then I realized that I had already done it on my truck. If I didn't already have it, I'd try it out.

I see it as a potential application after doing your Dip Plastic job to protect it.

What about just doing clear dip over your project?

I wanted to put 3M over my dipped stuff and I was told it hasn't been done yet. I would think that removing the dip on top of the 3M, the 3M would come up with it. YOu think that samething would happen with the amount of glue on the 3M being on top of the Plasti Dip.

Oh shit, that's it! 1-2 years. You're better off getting the other stuff then getting the spray on then. I know that it's going to be more expensive, but it's going to be worth it.

I could see its best use in areas that are common for rock chips.

This is actually a really cool thing. It's like $20 a can and that will do the entire front end like a clear bra. They say it does not last as long as the actual film, but this is much cheaper. If you go and get your car or truck clear bra'd by a pro it could cost as much as $500-700. Even then if they get sand blasted or marred up you have to replace it. I sprayed this stuff on some parts as a trial thing. It flowed out like glass. I was impressed.

Its pretty cool. I was hesitant to see how it would flow out and become one clear piece. It did though. Follow the directions of a coat in one direction then the next coat perpendicular to the last. I think it was 3 coats. There is no flash time in between like paint. You just keep spraying. It looks hazy and all weird before while it's wet.

After being quoted over $600 to have the film put on the leading edge of my hood and around the headlights, I'm going to try this spray instead. I'm itching to get the ugly plastic bug deflector off the hood. Respraying every year seems like no big deal.

From what I've read, make sure you follow the instructions exactly and put down enough film thickness or it'll be difficult to peel off in the future.

I used It on my rocker panels to protect from rocks pitched from my tires. I don't think I put on a thick enough coat. Cus a month or so later it had gouges out of it. I'll be trying it again soon. I'll take pics this time

I've seen some reviews where people cant get bugs off afterwards...like they were glued in. I wonder if that wasn't proper coverage of the product or proper curing. It says apply between 65-90 degrees and then sun cure for a few hours...I may have missed my window and might have to wait until spring to do it unless I heat my garage! My super white needs something because I have already had to wash the front 3 times in a month whereas my silver Ford I traded in got a bath like.....a couple times a year and bugs came off with some bicep grease.
