    3" Rough Country Lift
I have an 09 Double Cab TRD Sport Package. I have a 3" Rough Country Lift in it now ( I plan on upgrading but need tires first) I run 285/50/20s in the summer but nearing the winter I would like to get some new tires for my stock 17s. I have the tire Narrowed down to a Cooper Discoverer AT3 but I cant decide on a size. Will a 265/70/17 look too small? or should I go with a 285/70/17? Im leaning towards the middle and going with 275/70/17 to get the best of both worlds. What are your thoughts?

I have 265/70/17's on mine & it does NOT look to small at all, I do plan to upgrade though to 285's when my tires wear out only because I think bigger will look more bada$$!!! :D

    enough to go over stuff
I have 265/70R17 on mine with a 3 inch lift. Gives me more room to flex and better mileage

265 70 17, look good, facilitate half decent gas mileage, wont rub anywhere on the truck when flexing suspension(on stock backspacing)and there are a lot of tire options in this size.

275 70 17 look better than the 265's on a 3" lift and are not likely to rub too massively when flexing suspension(stock backspacing). Unfortunately there are fewer tire options in this size and most are heavy load E.

255 80 17 are pizza cutters. May or may not rub depending on your wheel backspacing. There is but one or two tires in this size and they are heavy load E rated tires. Slow acceleration on 33" tires

285 70 17 make the truck look meaner. Likely gonna need some trimming even with a 3" lift. There are a lot of tire choices in this size. Suffer from poor gas milage and slow acceleration on stock gearing(again 33" diameter)

Overall the bigger and heavier the tire the greater you can load it with weight.

    Mostly stock on 35s
The only tire available in that size is the KM2
