the process is lookin good Mark. i kind of figured whenever i get my double din that i would have to take all that stuff apart too. how big is that double din u got. i at first thought it was not that big and it was just as big as the stereo itself but the ones we looked at just like that AVH u got was big in the back. cant wait to see more pics of it installed. another thing hahaha!!!! how did u put the zip tie round ur cb? ive got it in the same spot and was wantin to make it a little more secure. finally where did u get ur OTRATTW switches at. i want to get some of them with as many things i have wired up for my lights. Thanks man!!!!! sorry bought all the questions Mark but hell thats how we all on here find out about things. Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!

Nah didn't trim em. They fit very, and I mean VERY snug in the spot I put em in. Try and fit them as close to the sides as possible & you should be good. If you try and mount it with this OTRATTW bracket, it won't matter about the cut as much:

Thanks man. The double din I got was 7". Shoot I can't remember exactly how I zip tied my CB, I just did it in a way that was the most secure haha. I got my OTRATTW switches from.... OTRATTW.com
Heck yeah get some, they look veryyyy nice-- they've got a stock look to em, which I like.

Oh yeah and the head unit is all installed, but I just have one night shot right now:

Well, I started doing it and realized I didn't have the aluminum bracket that mounts & holds it in there so after I did my speakers I have a buddy who runs a car audio warehouse and his installer put it in for cheap. He even did the override so I can watch DVDs/play with apps while I drive.. if I choose to do so :anonymous:

THAT'S what I meant to tell you! I had to take the bracket off the facotry stereo and put it on the pioneer to mount it.

    Hey man nice build.

How did you get the cb radio flush with everything else? The back plug for the antenna prevented mine from going all the way in flush. Did you make a cut out for antenna wiring behind the cb?

    you got the 520?

 Oh well, shoulda coulda woulda

Yeah I got the Uniden Pro 520xl, I also used the coaxial 90 degree elbow with it so that helped a lot, here's a link to the one I used:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004EEKDDW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

In addition to that, when installing it I used a heat gun on the air (heater) duct behind the ash tray location. After I got the heater duct nice and hot I just used the handle of my screwdriver and pressed the duct back further without breaking the plastic. Hope that makes sense
