    Hello All Tacoma lovers,

I want to buy a intake system to my 05 Tacoma. Does anyone knows where I can purchase the TRD COLD AIR INTAKE 1ST GENERATION??

Some local people told me that the best intake is the TRD 1st generation, they told me not to purchase the new TRD intake.

However, they also recommend the aFe Stage 2 Si Magnum Force Air Intake System...But I don't know if this one makes a lot of sound.

Could someone with experience advise me?

    Thanks!

I agree 100%.... Get the afe stage 2 si

TRD doesn't make many if any parts..... They setup contracts with manufacturers. Afe built the 1sr generation TRD intake. U will be perfectly fine getting the afe. I'm running it myself.

Just make sure when u bolt the box down, that the bolts are fully seated. U may see the bottom of the bolt push through the fender well a little as it pushes through the undercoating. This is fine, it shouldn't hang out too far. If the bolts aren't fully seated, the washers between them and the box will float at high rpm and cause a high pitch racket.

    Enjoy!

I would also suggest getting the pro dry synthetic filter option when u purchase the intake. No oil needed on that filter.
