I'm looking at going with the OME kit with 885s with the 2 inch AAL pack. My question is what is the purpose of the spacers and front diff drop kit? And do I need them? I'm looking to doing some off roading not just mall crawling. Please help me I'm a newbie and want to order the kit soon!

Front diff drop kit is to lower the diff to reduce the angle on your front drive shafts. The general consensus is it is not beneficial. It merely twists the differential which throws off your front drive shaft angle. An ex-member about had his diff ripped out while he was rock crawling because of it.

OME is a great kit. I have the 886 coils on OME shocks and wheelers 1.5" progressive AAL with the OMD chevy leaf replacing my 2nd toyo leaf.

What about the top plate spacers? Is there any need for them? I live in MS so I won't be doing any rock crawling mainly mud and getting to hunting camps and such.

Top plate spacers are used for two reasons.

    1) To get a full 3" of lift

    2) To correct Tacoma Driver side lean. All the heavy parts are on the driver side.
