Hello Tacoma family. I just bought my '13 Tacoma after deciding it was time to retire my '94 xtra cab. When I say retire, I don't mean to say he doesn't go anymore, just decided it wasn't an everyday truck anymore, and let him live out his golden years at a friend's property in the mountains a couple hours away. Yeah, I named it, Sherman, like the general and the tank. 290k, never once didn't start. Has been across the country and to the tip of Baja and to the Guatemalan border.

In any case, I used this site to get some info on TRD packages and to decide whether or not to get a new or used Tacoma. I figured I'd participate instead of lurking. I'm in the process of building a camper bed in the back, and am awaiting the arrival of my Snug Top sport hi-liner shell any day. I'll use it for road trips and camping trips extensively, do a lot of rock climbing and a truck is a necessity. I was reluctant to let go of the old body style (a couple of generations old I guess) but am blown away by the ride and the torque of my new truck. I am headed to Utah for a week or so at the end of the month, and must do/see backroads would be much appreciated.

    Cheers!
